About Zimbabwe Farmers Union

The Zimbabwe Farmers Union (ZFU) was formed on 19 August 1991, following a merger of the Zimbabwe National Farmers Union (ZNFU) and the National Farmers' Association of Zimbabwe (NFAZ). This merger created the single largest farmer representative body in Zimbabwe.

ZFU is a membership not-for-profit organisation registered under the Farmers Licensing and Levy Act (Chapter 18:10). Our membership is drawn from communal, old resettlement, peri-urban, small-scale and large-scale commercial farming areas.

With over 30 years of experience, ZFU has been at the forefront of agricultural advocacy, working to improve farming practices, secure fair market prices, and provide essential resources to our members.
